Setlists are very important for our customers business. Collecting societies need to have reliable information about the songs which were performed during a concert, the artists who played and who created these songs and so on. Therefore customers asked us again and again whether it is necessary to automatically crawl, extract and provide data on setlists within MESLIS. Today we are very proud to announce that we have made a first step to fulfill this strong requirement: We have just released the new Setlist Feature within MESLIS.

The industrial partners Mercateo AG, chemmedia AG and deecoob Technology GmbH, together with the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), worked on the joint R&D project “Visual Analytics Interfaces for Big Data Environments – VANDA” in the period 2016 to 2019. The aim of this project was to address the so-called four “V´s” – Volume, Velocity, Variety and Veracity – as the challenge of Big Data driven interfaces and applications. The research work was carried out both in the backend area, i.e. the efficient processing of Big Data, and in the frontend, i.e. the intuitive visualization of Big Data. In the course of the project, best practice solutions for visualization and backend processes were researched, developed and implemented in the form of demonstrators.
Midem is the leading international event for the global music community. The conference is dedicated to helping the music industry and its partners develop business and creativity by bringing together the key players of the music ecosystem. Midem was launched in 1967 and takes place in June every year in Cannes, France. deecoob attended Midem for the first time in 2018.
